Synthesizers are at the core of not only electronic dance music, but contemporary popular music as a whole. These instruments, however, have a long history and have profoundly shaped popular culture—well beyond iconic film soundtracks. With the rise of synthesizers came the concept of sound design: a discipline focused on sound for film and performative arts, but also on how everyday objects and products sound. Chances are you’ve encountered synthesizer sounds many times already, even if you’ve never seen these instruments in action at a concert. His tracks and remixes have been released on a wide range of respected labels, including Manual, 3rd Avenue, Toast & Jam, Einmusika, TRAUM Schallplatten, Distinctive Records, and Rune. Sonority has performed at leading Czech festivals such as Colours of Ostrava, Let It Roll, and United Islands, as well as at international events including Wilsonic, Electronic Beats, and Springfestival.

HRTL (Leoš Hort) is a force of nature on modular synthesizers. For over a decade, he has been delivering unique and electrifying improvised sets in which breakbeat rhythms merge with techno kicks, acid basslines, and playful melodies. A Prague-based musician who has captivated audiences from Riga to Ankara, HRTL brings more than ten years of experience straight from the heart of the dancefloor into his intense live performances.

Marie Čtveráčková is a sound artist, curator, DJ, and co-founder of the Synth Library—an open space dedicated to sharing, creation, discussion, and experimentation in electronic music. Her work explores the revolutionary potential of music and musical communities, the role of informal education, access to knowledge and technology, and ways of overcoming inequalities, stereotypes, and conventions, as well as the broader socio-economic context shaping creative expression.

Together with composer Martin Hůla, and in collaboration with Atrium Žižkov, she develops educational programs for schools focused on popular music, new musical instruments, and acoustic ecology.
